I’ve had the honor and privilege of practicing psychotherapy for about 40 years. I’ve worked with a broad range of people from a variety of backgrounds, presenting a wide variety of issues. I believe in the power of people to change when they have the motivation and commitment to do so (not so much when someone else wants them to change).
I’m a graduate of the clinical psychology doctoral program at Auburn University. I did my internship with Arkansas Mental Health Services, in Little Rock. I’ve been married for over 40 years, and I’m the proud father of two adult sons.
Outside of my private practice and my family involvement, I enjoy tennis and spending time outdoors hiking, biking and paddling. I’m a Sierra Club member. I avidly support environmental preservation, and I believe strongly in the importance of nature and its power to heal and soothe the human spirit. I’m a strong believer in our Sierra Club mission statement: “Explore, Enjoy, and Protect the Planet.”
